The 25^th Da Nang Badminton Champions, which is an annual tournament for badminton clubs across Da Nang, did not begin on time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Viet Nam has been so good at dealing with the pandemic, and the outbreak has been brought under control in the country. As a result, the competition is expected to take place at the Tien Son Sports Arena between April 22 and April 25.

The event is jointly organised by the Da Nang Newspaper, the Da Nang Radio and Television, Da Nang branch of the People's Public Security Newspaper under Da Nang Police, and VN Da Thanh Group, along with Da Nang Badminton Federation.

This year’s tournament is only open to players from badminton clubs in Da Nang and its neighbouring Quang Nam Province as a preventive measure against contracting the coronavirus.

The contestants are divided into 8 age groups: Between 18 and 30 years old, and above 61 years old. They will compete in a round-robin format, and in the categories of men’s and women’s singles and doubles, and mixed doubles.
