On display at the event will be 35 sketches created by the late artist Nguyen Duc Hanh created from September 4, 1975, and 25 others showcasing the city’s present images painted by young students from the Architecture Faculty of the Da Nang University of Science and Technology and members of the Urban Sketchers Da Nang group.

The event will give the public a panoramic view of Da Nang during historical days after its liberation on March 29, 1975, and its current stature as a dynamic city boasting remarkable changes in the rapid urbanisation.

The late artist Nguyen Duc Hanh was a member of the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association. His hometown was Vinh Thanh, Yen Thanh, Nghe An Province. His family settled down in Thach Nham Dong village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang. He passed away in 2010. As per his wishes, his relatives presented the municipal authorities a collection of about 200 valuable sketches reflecting the pace of life of Da Nang, and Central Viet Nam at large, during the past two resistance wars, and especially, a large number of them depict the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1968.
