Logo of Da Nang Tourism Development Fund released

The first prize of a logo design contest for the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Fund (DTPF) went to an excellent entry created by Pham Tam, a lecturer from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture).

His ‘brainchild’ surpassed a total of 97 others by 37 entrants from other Vietnamese localities, most of whom are professional logo designers, to achieve the accolade.

The winner won 25 million VND in cash and travel vouchers offered by some DTPF sponsors.

The awards ceremony took place within the framework of the Thursday seminar which featured discussions about more effective solutions that must be taken as soon as possible to drive the recovery of Da Nang tourism industry this year.

Launched by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, the contest was open to amateur art lovers and those who are working in all aspects of fine art and design across Viet Nam.

All entries were required to follow the principles of logo design, properly reflect functions and duties of DTPF, and ensure the harmony with the logo of the 'Danang Fantasticity' - the official channel of Da Nang tourism industry.

As a social fund operating for not-for-profit, the Fund is formed from the capital and associated funding of tourism businesses with an initial asset of VND 3.85 billion.

Amongst notable sponsors are the Ba Na Service Cable Car Joint Stock Company, DHC Investment Joint Stock Company, the Da Nang branch of Hoa Binh Company Limited the Da Nang branch of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, DHC Investment Corporation, Silver Shores Investment Development Company Limited.

The Fund aims to promote Da Nang tourism to potential domestic and international markets, help boost the development of new tourism products, carry out market research activities, support tourism businesses, and partly raise public awareness of preserving the tourism environment.
