The Da Nang People's Committee has just approved plans for organising a contest to seek the best ideas for floral displays and lighting decorations for Tet 2022 Festival in a bid to bring “an attractive new coat” to the city on this special much-awaited occasion.

The upcoming contest will be open to nationwide consultants, architectural planning designers, artisans and students from the faculties of Architecture and Electricity at tertiary establishments.

Entries are highly recommended to make impressive designs for floral displays and lighting decorations at many architectural highlights in the city centre such as along the both banks of the iconic Han River, the entrances to the city.

As the 2022 Lunar New Year ushers in the Year of the Tiger, decorations should feature the image of this lovely zodiacal animal, highlight the city’s distinctive cultural values and the spiritual life of local residents.

The selection of the best ideas is expected to be carried out within this year.
