General Secretary of the Viet Nam Football Federation Le Hoai Anh was informed of the news in an exchange with the UAE Football Association's General Secretary on June 13.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) decided that fans will be allowed to enter stadiums at a 30 percent capacity.
Regarding matches without the presence of hosts UAE, the available amount of tickets will be equally divided between fans of the two playing teams. As for matches played by the UAE, fans of guest side will be allowed to purchase a maximum of 10 percent of the total tickets issued.
Audiences are requested to strictly implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
In order to be admitted into stadiums, fans must be vaccinated and carry a negative report from their RT-PCR tests, which must be done no more than 48 hours before entry to the stadium. In addition, fans aged below 16 will not be allowed.
All fans will have their temperatures checked before entry and must keep a distance from one another in the stands and wear face masks during the match.
Also on June 13, the Vietnamese team received good news as the Republic of Korea team beat Lebanon 2-1, which means Viet Nam will have more chance to go ahead in case the team only come second in Group G.
The Viet Nam-UAE game is considered the "final" match of Group G. Viet Nam currently has 17 points, two more than the host UAE. The team will enter the third stage as the leader of group G if they do not lose to the UAE on June 15. If Viet Nam lose to the UAE, they still have a big opportunity to continue in the group as top five runners-up.
