Numerous activities to celebrate 25 years of Da Nang's recognition as centrally-governed city
The Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations recently reviewed the city’s literature and arts activities over the past 9 months, and identified its new tasks for the remaining month of this year.
During the review period, the union coordinated with specialised associations to well perform its political tasks.
In particular, the unit in collaboration with the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association made draft plans in preparation for the Fine Arts Exhibition 2022 in Zone No.5 in Da Nang, as well as submit a dossier requesting the municipal People's Committee to award an additional 50% of the prize money to 26 authors and groups of authors who won literary and artistic prizes at national, international and regional levels in 2020.
Most notably, during the third quarter of this year, when the developments of COVID-19 resurgence in Da Nang was very complicated, the union encouraged artists and writers to actively create many quality literary and artistic works about the pandemic. Many works have been awarded with prizes and medals in major competitions.
In the next quarter of 2021, the union will focus on carrying out activities celebrate 25th anniversary of Da Nang's recognition as centrally-governed city.
Notable amongst them will be the joint compilation of books entitled ‘Son Tra District - Monuments and Beauty Spots’ and ‘25 Years of Studying into Folk Culture’. Also, heed will be paid to effectively deploying support funds for literature and arts activities in the city and the central government in order to create conditions for local writers and artists to disseminate their works, thereby bringing more qualified literary and artistic works to the public.
