The Da Nang Fine Arts Association has said that 23 works created by the association’s members were selected for the upcoming South Central Coast and Central Highlands Fine Arts Exhibition.

An art work depicting pooled sample testing created by artist Ho Dinh Nam Kha is among selected exhibits for the upcoming South Central Coast and Central Highlands Fine Arts Exhibition. He uses acrylic in his artwork.

The exhibition is an annual event which is co-hosted by the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association, and the Kon Tum Literary and Arts Association.

The annual event brings together artists who are members of the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association and the Fine Arts Associations in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum to share their experience within the contemporary art market.

Da Nang’s artists created 23 works which have been selected for this year's regional arts with such materials as wood, acrylics and oil paint, lacquer, zinc printing, and synthetic. Their works depict the beauty of nature, sea and islands, the environment, daily life in South Central Coast and Central Highlands, and their cultures.

Among Da Nang’s selected art works were some carrying the theme of COVID-19 prevention and control. Included are " Pooled sample testing " by Ho Dinh Nam Kha, "Viet Nam wins its fight against COVID-19" by Tran Huu Duong, " Frontline staff in the fight against the pandemic" by Phan Van Wall. There will be no ceremony to mark the start of this year’s regional art exhibition due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event will take place virtually and the selected art works will be judged based on digital format.
