Female Ju-Jitsu fighter Duong Thi Thanh Minh from Da Nang has taken a silver medal in the women’s 52kg Jiu jitsu- Newaza event at the recently-concluded Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2021.

In the final match of Jiu jitsu- Newaza event, Minh faced many difficulties before her opponent Mekenbayeva Moldir from Kazakhstan who gained notoriety as a high skilled fighter with superior defensive ability.  

Previously, the Da Nang female fighter was the only athlete of the Vietnamese boxing team to compete in the Fighting event, which was not her forte.
