Drawing contest about Cuba launched
Senior and junior high school pupils across Da Nang will have the opportunity to show off their talents and creativity through a drawing contest about Cuba.
The event, taking ‘I Love Cuba’ as its themes, aims to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Viet Nam and Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 - 2021), and tighten the special and traditional relationship between the two countries. Also, it is a chance for participating pupils to learn more about culture, country and people of Cuba.
It was jointly organised by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations (DAFO), the municipal Department of Education and Training, the Department of Culture and Sports, and the Consulate General of Cuba in Ho Chi Minh City.
Entrants are invited to create pieces of art which showcase Viet Nam-Cuba friendship relationship, the relationship of late Cuban leader Fidel Castro and late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh, cultural exchange activities among Cuban and Vietnamese young people, and the countries’ bilateral support in their fights against COVID-19.
Entries must be drawn on A3 size papers with any optional colouring materials such as crayons, gouache, oil paints, watercolors, acrylic colors, markers or others. Drawings must have not been awarded in any other competitions nationwide, and published in publications, books, magazines or mass media.
Entries must be submitted to the headquarters of DAFO at 522 Ong Ich Khiem Street, Hai Chau 2 Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang (phone: 0905.016.988) from Monday to Friday every week, between November 30 and December 15.
The most 20 outstanding artworks will then be selected for a future drawing exhibition.
The closing and awards ceremonies of the contest, plus the exhibition, is expected to be organised at the headquarters of DAFO in late December.
