The Vietnamese team are participating in the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2021 which is being organised at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, from the 3^rd till the 11^th of November.

They are team leader Tran Van Thach - an Jiu-Jitsu expert, coaches Bui Dinh Tien and Nguyen Thi Hang, and 8 Jiu-Jitsu fighters.

Amongst the 8 Jiu-Jitsu fighters, Dao Hong Son from Ha Noi (the men's 56kg event) and Duong Thi Thanh Minh from Da Nang (the woman’s 52 kg event) are promising to reap positive results at this international tournament.

It is known that the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2021 is part of the series of events to celebrate the UAE’s 50^th birthday, cementing Abu Dhabi’s position as the capital of jiu-jitsu. The 9-day event attracts around 1,400 athletes from 62 countries and territories worldwide.

It will be followed by the Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021 from November 14-19, the World Master IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021 on November 15 and 16, and the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021 from November 17-19.
