What sports events to be held in Da Nang at year-end?
The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports has recently issued plans to organize physical activity and sports events across the city in the last months of 2021 in preparation for forthcoming municipal-level sports events.
Specifically, karate champions, dance sports competitions, and swimming training courses for employees of businesses, hotels and resorts with swimming pools, and for drivers of water transport vehicles will be organised in November at the Tien Son Sports Arena.
A cycling tournament for clubs will take place in December. At the end of this year, there will be a sports competition for the disabled and the Da Nang Basketball Championships at the Tien Son Sports Arena, and a table tennis tournament at the Phan Chau Trinh Sports Club.
Moreover, the Da Nang Gymnastics Championships, which was due to take place from November 26 - 28, will be called off because the gymnastics clubs in the city have yet to prepare for the event amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the 25th DA NANG Newspaper Road Races has been postponed to the following year in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Parades of sports motorcycles and bicycles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Da Nang's recognition as centrally-governed city will not probably take place as planned due to the complicated developments of the pandemic.
