AFF-launched writing contest to honour frontliners in fight against COVID-19
The Southeast Asian Football Association (AFF) has just launched a writing contest entitled ‘Emerging Stronger Together’ to honour the frontline heroes in the fight against COVID-19.
Explaining the reason for organizing the contest, AFF President Khiev Sameth remarked that frontline health workers who are working tirelessly to treat COVID-19 patients and save the lives of seriously ill patients in the fight against COVID-19 were true heroes.
“Therefore, AFF organized this contest to encourage fans to share compelling stories about their family members, beloved ones, frontliners and others who made sacrifices have emerged stronger from the effects of this devastating pandemic. We want to hear stories of those impacted in one way or another by COVID-19 but managed to overcome pandemic-triggered difficulties to emerge stronger” added President Khiev Sameth.
Stories, which must not exceed 200 words, can be written in the official language of the respective countries. In Viet Nam, all entries must be sent to the email address info@vff.org.vn not later than December 11, 2021.
Winners, one each from 11 Southeast Asian countries, will receive all-expense paid trips to watch the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 finals live in Singapore. Due to the current travel restrictions, winners who are unable to travel will instead be provided a cash equivalent to the trip to Singapore, amounting to US$1,500.
