Fascinating 'Da Nang-Aspiration for High Growth' arts programme

On Thursday evening, the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports hosted a special arts programme entitled ‘Da Nang-Aspiration to Rise’ at the city’s Trung Vuong Theatre to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Da Nang’s recognition as centrally-governed city (January 1, 1997 - 2022).

Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, and Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee cum Chairman of the People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh.

Delivering her speech at the arts programme, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen expressed her deep gratitude to the Party, State, branches and authorities at all levels, units, businesses and the whole people of Da Nang for their great contributions to Da Nang’s progress over the past 25 years.

Vice Chairwoman Yen emphasized that although the 25-year journey was not long, but it was enough for Da Nang to turn itself into an urban centre in Central Viet Nam, and the whole country. She remarked that Da Nang was well-known as a worth-living city thanks to its beautiful landscape and the friendliness and hospitality of local residents.

She highlighted that, with the sentimental affection of the whole country, the city would continue to go up with its energy to overcome challenges and chieve further goals in order to build Da Nang into a big, smart, creative, identity and sustainable city according to Resolution 43 about developing Da Nang by 2030 with a vision to 2045.

The arts programme was broadcast live on the DaNangTV channel and live streamed on Facebook page and YouTube channel of the Trung Vuong Theater.

The 90-minute-long event featured 3 parts namely ‘Da Nang - Deep love’, ‘Pride of Da Nang’ and ‘Da Nang - Aspiration for High Growth’ with a total of 10 songs showing the special love and pride for Da Nang - a beautiful seaside city.

The programme was staged as a short film recreating the development history of Da Nang through each period. Thereby, people had the opportunity to look back on the rich history and feel the comprehensive development of the land dubbed the worth-living city.

The arts program was one of a series of activities to mark an important milestone of Da Nang, thereby contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and promoting the city's images through music products.
