As observed along the Bach Dang spring flower street on February 5 (the fifth day of the first lunar month), photographers have worked non-stop due to a surge in demand of people for taking memorable moments with their family members and friends on the special holiday.

Photographer Tran Phuong Hoang from Ngu Hanh Son District said that his group had 4 members who were all professional photographers. During the Tet holiday, they started to gather at the Bach Dang spring flower street from the February 1 afternoon to work. Every day, his team starts working from 7:30 am to around 11:00 pm. Each 30x45cm framed photo is priced at VND250,000 whilst each 20x30cm one costs VND150,000.

"This year, the Bach Dang spring flower street has attracted a large number of visitors. During Tet, we take a daily average of about 2,000 photos. We plan to work here until the 10th day of Tet" said Mr. Hoang.

Aside from the souvenir photography service, stalls selling children's toys, balloons, fast food at the spring flower street have draw much attention from people.

Mrs Lanh, a seller of balloons at the Bach Dang spring flower street, said that every day, she sold about 100 balloons at all kinds at the prices of VND25,000-VND30,000 per piece. She added she could earn about VND1.5 million per day after deducting all expenses.

Meanwhile, many coffee and milk tea shops, and food and beverage stores on Nguyen Van Linh Street have been operating at full capacity throughout Tet. Most of these places are beautifully decorated and and have many inviting 'check-in' spots,  which is suitable for the Lunar New Year's atmosphere.

Moreover, movie theaters citywide have been visited by many people. At large cinemas such as CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Starlight, lots of customers have been seen queuing to buy tickets, including families with young children.

To save time and limit contact to cinema staff, many people book their tickets online through mobile applications. Moviegoers are required to make e-medical declarations before entering the movie theaters.
