Winners of the 2^nd Sao Bien Architecture Awards were honoured at a ceremony held by the Da Nang Architects’ Association in the city on Wednesday.

The architectural design of the expanded APEC Sculpture Park won the first prize at the Sao Bien Architecture Awards 2022. The design was made by a group of architects Ho Xuan Thuan, Nguyen Xuan Trung, Nguyen Van Thanh and Nguyen Huy Hoang, all from the Pho Xanh (Green City) Construction and Design Consultant Co., Ltd.

The second prize went to the architectural design of the Ly Tu Trong Primary School by architect Cao Thi Thu Thao from the An Thy Architecture and Construction JSC.

The architectural design of Viet Smile’ Dental Clinic by architect Nguyen Xuan Minh from the BHA Architecture JSC claimed the third prize.

As for the graduate students' projects, the first prize was awarded to the ‘Experimental tourism farm’ project coded NT2021 by student Nguyen Huu Thong from the University of Science - the Hue University.

Meanwhile, Pham Ngoc Hoai Duong from the University of Science and Technology - the University of Da Nang took the second prize for his project coded HD0610 on renovating the exhibition space complex at the Dong Da apartment building.

The third prize was presented to Mai Trong Nhan from the University of Science and Technology - the University of Da Nang for his project coded TN0605 ‘Cam Kim Resort, Hoi An City’.

Also, three consolation prizes were given out to other outstanding architectural designs.

The 2^nd Sao Bien Architecture Awards, which was launched by the Da Nang Architects’ Association on November 26, 2021, aims to promote advanced sustainable architecture trends in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions.

Also, the intention of the event is to seek and honour excellent architectural projects in order to promote the aesthetic, economic, and environmentally friendly values ​​of new architectural works, thereby contribute to promoting the trend of sustainable and advanced architecture integrated with technologies that are in the early stages of development in Viet Nam.
