Cyclist Igor Frolov wins Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang cycling race
Cyclist Igor Frolov from Ho Chi Minh City - Vinama Team finished first and won a yellow shirt in Stage 12 of the ongoing 34th National Ho Chi Minh City Television Cycling Tournament-HTV Cup.

Cyclists who finished from second to fifth places were Konstantin Nekrasop (Ho Chi Minh City New Group), Nguyen Huong (GSB Dong Nai), Nguyen Truong Tai (Ho Chi Minh City - Vinama) and Pham Quoc Cuong (Dong Thap Domesco Pharmaceuticals).
The awards ceremony for the Stage 12 of the tournament took place on Sunday morning at the East Sea Park in Da Nang’s Son Tra District.
In 123km-long Stage 12 of the national tournament connecting Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, cyclists travelled on Hai Van Pass - Nguyen Van Cu - Nguyen Luong Bang - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Thuan Phuoc Bridge - Le Duc Tho - Hoang Sa - in front of the National Assembly Guest House NALOD Da Nang at the Vo Nguyen Giap - Morrison intersection.
It is known that the Stage 13 of the tournament will take place at from about 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18, in Da Nang. Accordingly, parking are banned on March 29 Square - September 2 - Cach Mang Thang Tam (August Revolution) - Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge - Vo Chi Cong - Vo Qui Huan - Truong Sa - the end of Da Nang territory.
The 34th National Ho Chi Minh City Television Cycling Tournament-HTV Cup, co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Television, the Vietnam Cycling Federation, and localities, is among a series of activities in celebration of the 47th anniversary of Southern Vietnam’s liberation, Reunification Day (April 30, 1975- 2022), the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (1890-2022), and the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).
This year’s event consists of 23 stages covering a total length of more than 2,000km across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
The tournament attracted 400 athletes from 14 teams, who start in Quang Ninh province and finish in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30.
The winner of the tournament will walk away with a yellow jersey and VND200 million (US$8,600) while the first and second runners-up will receive VND50 million each. Winners of each stage will also bag bonuses worth up to VND20 million.
