Deputy Director in charge of the Da Nang Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung said on Wednesday that the Department had asked for permission from the municipal government to carry out some activities at the Rong (Dragon) Bridge over the forthcoming holiday for National Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1).

Specifically, Da Nang is expecting to see a surge in tourist arrivals over the forthcoming 4-day break. Therefore, the Department has proposed the municipal authorities to allow shows of fire breathing and water squirting at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge to be taken place from April 30 - May 3 at 9.00pm daily in order to meet the growing entertainment needs of locals and visitors.

Over recent years, the weekend shows of fire breathing and water squirting at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and the opening of the Han River Swing Bridge, have been very attractive to both domestic and international arrivals.
