The ‘Flying over the silver sea’ paragliding tournament took place on Saturday, the on Son Tra Peninsula, Son Tra District, with the participation of more than 20 professional athletes from paragliding clubs nationwide.

This was an activity organised by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches in collaboration with the Son Tra Paragliding Club in response to the programme ‘Opening the Da Nang beach tourism season 2022’.

The tournament was an opportunity for athletes to test and evaluate their skills in preparation for competing in domestic paragliding tournaments and creating opportunities for athletes from paragliding clubs across the country to join mutual exchanges.

The first prize was awarded to athlete Ngo Xuan Truong from the Ha Noi Paragliding Association, the second prize went to athlete Nguyen Minh Trung from the Ho Chi Minh City Paragliding Federation and the third prize was presented to athlete Nguyen Minh Nhat from the Son Tra Paragliding Club.

As one of the three female athletes at the tournament, athlete Tran Da Huong from Ha Noi Paragliding Association said, “This is my second time participating in paragliding in Da Nang. I find this a useful activity, creating a unique tourism highlight and connecting paragliding lovers across the country together”.
