Over 4,000 people join Viet Nam - Japan cultural exchange festival 2022

Da Nang-based Dong A University on held the Viet Nam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival and the Japan Job Festival 2022, attracted more than 4,000 participants.

The Viet Nam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2022 with special cultural activities such as Japanese tea ceremony space, Origami paper folding art, Vietnamese calligraphy, Japanese manga display area, a photo exhibition of the Dong A University in cooperation with Japan, displaying Vietnamese - Japanese traditional costumes with ‘ao dai’ (traditional Vietnamese long dress)- kimono - yukata, performing festival drums and Yosakoi dance (a unique dance in Japanese festivals).

Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the Council of Dong A University – the organiser of the event, said that this year's festival took place in a special context, towards the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Japan in 2023.

Shimonishi Kiyoshi, Japanese Deputy Consul General in Da Nang hailed the festival for offering the opportunity for students and young people to gain a deeper insight into the Japanese culture, thereby promoting the ties between the two countries.

At the Japan Job Fair 2022, 12 Japanese enterprises joined the recruitment of human resources with 651 job positions.

As reported, 298 students passed face-to-face and online interviews and were officially accepted to work for one year in Japan.

At the same time, the university’s strategic cooperation agreements with Japanese partners such as Will Group, CUC, Tenshinkai and Viet Nam-Japan Association of Culture and Sports Exchange (Faviji) were signed.

In particular, Dong A also entered agreements with Japanese firms under which students from the faculties of Nursing, Automotive Technology, Tourism and Construction would be join internship and working programmes in Japan with 20 -30 students from each faculty approved every year.
