700 women join flashmobs in Da Nang

The ‘Art Exchange - Flashmob Performance’ programme took place at Da Nang’s East Sea Park on Friday evening.

Hosted by the municipal Women’s Union, the programme aimed to welcome the high-ranking delegation of the Lao Women's Union and the second session of the Viet Nam Women’s Union in its 13th tenure for the 2022-2027 term.

In attendance at the event were President of the Lao Women's Union Inlavan Keobounphan, President of the Viet Nam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga, municipal People’s Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, and local People’s Council Vice Chairwoman Cao Thi Huyen Tran.

In her opening speech, President of the Da Nang Women's Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong remarked the programme was aimed at responding to the 'All People Do Physical Exercise Following Uncle Ho' Example' campaign. In response the programme, the Union and its chapters at all levels has over the past time encouraged their members to choose appropriate forms of physical training and sports in order to build the image of dynamic, creative and responsible women.

During the program, 700 members of the municipal Women’s Union at all levels performed many flashmob performances.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Viet Nam Women's Union launched a network of female leaders who were non-specialist members of the Central Executive Committee in the 2022-2027 term.

The network is an important basis for the Union to improve its capacity, and strengthen the connection of the female leadership network.

On the occasion, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Women's Union gave 20 gifts, each worth VND2 million, to orphans in difficult circumstances in the city.
