In her remarks on Saturday evening at the opening ceremony of the Danish Film Week 2022, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen highlighted the significance of the event in contributing to maintaining and consolidating the cooperative and friendly relationship between Viet Nam and Denmark.

She added the event also provided an opportunity for Da Nang audience to learn about Danish culture, country and people.

“I believe that the films being screened during the film week have been carefully selected by the Danish Embassy in Viet Nam, promising to bring Da Nang audience interesting experience” said Mrs. Yen.

Co-organised by the Embassy of Denmark in Ha Noi and the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the Danish Film Week 2022 is taking place free-of-charge from July 2 to 7 at the Galaxy Da Nang Cinema on the third floor of the CoopMart at 478 Dien Bien Phu Street.

The six movies being screened during the event are ‘The Good Traitor’, ‘The Purity of Vengeance', ‘That Time of Year’, ‘A Perfectly Normal Family’, ‘Daniel’, and ‘Land of Mine’.

These films, which have received a number of nominations and awards at renowned Danish and international film festivals, promise to give local audiences a glimpse into on Danish society and life, with engaging and diverse stories.

In addition to the film week in Da Nang, the Embassy of Denmark in Ha Noi also coordinates with the authorities of Ha Noi, Thua Thien Hue and Ho Chi Minh City  to organize such similar events from now until mid-July 2022.
