Lao arts programme in Da Nang
As part of the ongoing Lao Culture Week in Viet Nam, a special arts programme by the Lao national art troupe took place at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre on Thursday evening.

In attendance at the event were municipal People's Council Vice Chairwoman Cao Thi Huyen Tran, and municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen.
In her opening remarks, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thi Hoi An said that the event provided an opportunity for Da Nang people to understand more about the traditional and unique values of Lao culture, contributing to deepening the Viet Nam - Laos loyal special relationship.
The arts programme featured 12 dancing, singing and circus performances by the Lao national art troupe, praising the peaceful Laos, its good cultural tradition, and its socio-economic development achievements.
The Lao Culture Week in Viet Nam, held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, is part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962) and 45 years since the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977).
The Lao national art troupe performed in Ha Noi on July 18 and in Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City on July 20.
