Thirty professional chefs from popular hotels and resorts across Da Nang, divided into 15 teams, competed in the municipal-level Chef Talent Competition 2022 on Thursday at the International Convention Palace of the Furama Resort Danang.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Labour Federation, the municipal Hotel Association, the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC), the city’s Culinary and Cultural Association, and the Furama Resort Danang, the competition highlighted the combination of local culinary delights with chicken meat imported from the US.

This is the first time that such a chef competition between hotels and resorts has been held in Da Nang. The contest aimed to create a healthy playground for local chefs, as well as to enhance exchanges and connections between chefs, managers and owners of tourism firms citywide.

At the same time, the event offered employees in hospitality industry the opportunity to exchange experience, learn about trends in food use in the world, and improve their skills, thereby better meeting the needs of the labour market.
