Three members of the Da Nang Artistic Photographers' Association have won remarkable achievements at the Viet Nam Art Photo Contest and Exhibition 2022.

The contest's organisers awarding the gold medal to photographer Le Quang Thien from Da Nang.

The information was released at the opening and awards ceremony of the Viet Nam Art Photo Contest and Exhibition 2022 which took place in Ha Noi on Thursday.

Specifically, photographer Le Quang Thien won a gold medal for his ‘Thu Thiem Bridge No. 2 - A new highlight’ photo. Photographer Truong Huynh Son took a silver medal for his artwork themed ‘Female warrior takes a nap after her working shift’, whilst photographer Huynh Van Truyen was awarded the bronze medal for his ‘Da Nang’ photo.

After more than three months of being launched, the contest’s organisers received a total of 16,395 entries from 1,502 entrants from all over the country. 250 outstanding works by 187 artists have been selected to be on display at the exhibition, and the 29 best photographic artworks have been awarded.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists, the biennial event aims to create a playground for photographers across the country, introduce the best photographic artworks to both the national and international public and at the same time, summarise and evaluate the achievements of Vietnamese photography in the past two years.
