The Da Nang-based Trung Vuong Theatre hosted an arts programme entitled ‘Aspirations for the Future’ on Friday evening to celebrate its 20^th birthday.

In attendance at the event were representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Viet Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Viet Nam Music Association and the Ho Chi Minh Academy of Politics Region 3.

On the city side, the municipal Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in the city Ngo Xuan Thang, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Organization Department Nguyen Dinh Vinh, and People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen, were present at the event.

The Trung Vuong Theater was established in 2002 on the basis of merging the city's music and dance troupe and the Da Nang Performance Organization Company.

After 20 years of establishment and development with the tireless efforts of generations of its actors, and employees, the theatre has affirmed its worthy position and vital role in artistic activities of the city and the country as a whole.

With a long tradition over 20 years, the passionate fire of the profession passed down from the forebears, along with the love of art, the theatre’s artistes, actors and employees are determined to unite, and ready to overcome through the upcoming difficulties so that the Trung Vuong Theatre can continue to shine and take stronger strides in the future.

In the coming time, the Trung Vuong Theatre strives to become a versatile and professional art unit in all genres of music - dance – music, and a place where both converges and spreads artistic values ​​and develops unique cultural values of Da Nang and the whole country.

Also at the ceremony, 1 collective and 2 individuals from the Trung Vuong Theatre received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recognition of their active involvement in the theatre’s development over the past 2 decades.

The municipal People's Committee presented the Emulation Flag to the theatre in honour of its contribution to the cause of culture and arts in the locality.

On this occasion, the Trung Vuong Theatre organised an arts programme entitled ‘Aspirations of the Future’.

The programme reflected the theatre’s pride and aspirations for the future, and at the same time affirmed its enthusiasm and readiness in joining efforts with the city’s leaders to build Da Nang into a destination of events and festivals.
