A total of 14 teams are competing in the 2022 National Basketball Tournament's finals for Students which is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 11 - 17.

Accordingly, 8 teams compete in the men’s event, namely the University of Da Nang, the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, the Ha Noi University of Physical Education and Sports, the National Economics University, the National University of Transportation, the RMIT University in Ho Chi Minh City, the Hoa Sen University and the Van Lang University.

There are 6 teams in the women’s event: the University of Da Nang, the FPT University of Da Nang, the Ha Noi National University of Education, the Foreign Trade University, the Hoa Sen University and the Ton Duc Thang University.

The teams compete in a round-robin format to select the first, second, and third prize winners.

The National Basketball Tournament for Student 2022 is jointly organised by the Department of Physical Education under the Ministry of Education and Training, the Max Sports Entertainment JSC (MSE) and the Viet Nam Digital Content and Commerce JSC (Vietcontent).

The tournament provides a basketball playground for students nationwide, and contributes to promoting the basketball movement in academies and universities.
