The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the municipal Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hoa Vang District administration, has conducted a training course on a model of heritage associated with a tourism journey to develop the community of ethnic minorities with a heritage similar to the brocade weaving of the Co Tu people in the Da Nang - Quang Nam region.

The event offered an opportunity for those who are practicing the traditional weaving heritage of the Co Tu people to share their experiences, knowledge and skills, as well as promote each other in the process of practicing and passing on the heritage of the ethnic minorities, thereby linking the heritage with tourism itineraries, significantly contributing to the uniform development of the cultural and social life of the Co Tu ethnic community.
At the same time, it was a supportive measure for the community to promote the heritage effectively, suitable to the economic conditions, customs and practices of the people.
The Co Tu ethnic people still retain relatively intact cultural values and traditions, including weaving and costumes.
Each Co Tu textile product is valuable in many ways, both as an item to serve the needs of daily life, as well as an asset and expression of wealth.
Textile products of the Co Tu people are not only a measure of the social value and well-being of each family, but also have aesthetic value and show a rich spiritual life.
Each product is like a work of art, containing many quintessence and unique features in the national cultural treasure.
