The central regional qualifying rounds of the 2022 National Seven-A-Side Football Tournament 2022 for Hyundai Cup officially concluded in Da Nang on Saturday.

Co-organised by the VietFootball JSC and the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, the qualifying rounds for Central Viet Nam took place from November 20 to December 10 at the Da Nang-based Tuyen Son Sports Arena with the participation of 8 teams, namely A65, Anh Quyen, Anh Thu, Tu Lua Cua Tung, Sacombank, Hieu Hoa - Quahaco, The Gia Agarwood and QNAWACO.

After more than half a month of exciting competitions, Anh Quyen excellently won the first prize, whilst Tu Lua Cua Tung finished in the second and the third prize went to Hieu Hoa - Quahaco.

In the end, Anh Quyen and Tu Lua Cua Tung, along with 6 first and second place finishers in the qualifying rounds for the Central Highlands, Southern Viet Nam and Northern Viet Nam, will compete in the national qualifying rounds which is slated for December 15 - 18 in Ha Noi.

These teams will be divided into two groups, playing in a round robin format to select 4 outstanding teams to the semi-finals. The two winning teams in the semi-finals will compete for first and second prizes.

The tournament provides an opportunity for footballers to exchange their performance skills, and contribute to promoting football movement. Through the tournament, the organisers will select the best players for Viet Nam’s national 7-a-side male team to participate in the international 7-a-side football tournament which is expected to take place in December.
