Construction of Son Tra Art Gallery House begins

Work formally started on the Son Tra Art Gallery House project on Friday morning.

Covering an area of 6,719m2 at 2 Vu Van Dung Street, An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District, the project will feature a 2-storey block with the total area of ​​749m2. In which, the first floor will be the reception hall, and the 2nd floor will be designated for an exhibition space and the management board's working office.

The US$14.4 billion project is invested and managed by the Son Tra District People's Committee. The contract implementation time is 150 days for construction and 120 days for completing construction payment procedures.

The project’s architectural design is conducted by the ALPES Green Design and Build Company.

Architect Ho Khue, the founder of the ALPES Green Design and Build Company, said that the project was born from the desire of the locality to create a space to exhibit valuable works of arts, and for local artists to meet and exchange their experience, thereby raising awareness of value of arts among local residents.

The design consultant was inspired by the image of seagull wings and the name of the work is Wings Art. The most highlight of the project will be the winding concrete frame structure combined with green vegetation and walkways.
