Hosted by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the contest aimed to diversify activities and events at Da Nang beaches, especially in the low tourist season, as well as to create a healthy playground for locals and tourists at both home and abroad to exchange and share experience and passion for surfing.

Surfer Ludovic Baudry from France expressed his impression on the beauty of Da Nang beaches. He emphasised that with high waves and cool temperatures, local beaches were very suitable for surfing.

He also thanked the city for organising such a meaningful, fresh activity. This was what foreigners like him have wanted for a long time, Ludovic Baudry noted.

After 2 days of competition, Mr. Tran Thanh Viet from the Mui Ne Surf Club in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, Viet Nam, won the first prize, whilst Haydn Brook from South Africa took the second prize.

Meanwhile, the third and fourth prizes went to Alex from Australia, and Aleski from Russia, respectively.
