The upgrade of the existing headquarters of the municipal People’s Council at 42-44 Bach Dang into new Museum of Da Nang is under urgent construction.

Located right near the Han River Bridge, the new Museum of Da Nang promises to be a new attraction for visitors from both home and abroad.

Developed by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports with the funding from the city budget, the over VND504 billion project belongs to the category of grade II civil works in group B.

According to the Da Nang Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects, the project has a total construction area of 8,782m², and a total upgrade area of 8,197m². In which, the total area of upgraded land at 42 Bach Dang is 2,590m², at 44 Bach Dang 1,319m², and at 31 Tran Phu 1,880m². Meanwhile, the land area for embellishing the garden, surrounding landscapes and internal yard is 2,408m².

The new development will have a total area of 7,217m². In which, the newly built one-basement-and-three-storey block will cover an area of 6,650m². The new construction area at 31 Tran Phu, including 4 floors adjacent to the renovated block here, has an area of 415m². A new 152.2m² auxiliary block north of the People's Council hall is being built.

The project is under urgent construction to ensure the on-schedule completion
