The 2023 Spring Newspaper Festival entitled ‘Journalism and Reading Culture’, plus an exhibition featuring photographic works, officially opened at the Da Nang General Science Library, 46 Bach Dang, on Friday morning.

Municipal People’s Council Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son, along with leaders of some government departments and agencies, made their attendance at the event.

In his speech delivered at the festival, Chairman of the municipal Journalists' Association cum Editor-in-Chief of the Da Nang Newspaper Nguyen Duc Nam highlighted that the annual festival aimed to honour the labor results of the press - publishing industry, and introduce Spring Press Publications and photographic works to the public.
On display at this year’s event are 200 Spring Publications of national press agencies, 63 ones of local press agencies, 200 copies of books commemorating the 93rd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (February 3), and 50 photographic works. Notably, there is a calligraphy activity.
Mr. Nam added the annual event, co-organized by the Da Nang General Science Library and the municipal Journalists Association, contributed to promoting reading culture and creating a joyful atmosphere among locals and press agencies’ staff in the first days of the new year.
The festival and the photo exhibition run until January 29 (the 8th day of the 1st lunar month).
