In early 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a field survey at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum and highly appreciated the museum’s remarkable achievements over recent years. Besides, the Ministry requested the municipal People's Committee to issue a decision to upgrade the rating of the museum.
Established on July 29, 2014, the Fine Arts Museum under the municipal Department of Culture and Sports has played a vital role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage of Da Nang, and Central Viet Nam as a whole.
After more than 2 years of establishment, on December 19, 2016, the museum was officially opened its doors to the public.
Currently, the museum is home to more than 2,000 works of modern and contemporary arts, plus artifacts of traditional folk art.
