As part of the ongoing Quan The Am (Avalokitesvara) Festival 2023, a number of cultural, arts and sports activities are being organised in the campus of the Quan The Am Pagoda and along Su Van Hanh Street on Wednesday.

According to the festival programme, a total of 13 cultural, arts and sports activities are being held today.
Specifically, on Wednesday morning, there was a tug-of-war contest with the participation of My An, Khue My, Hoa Quy and Hoa Hai wards. Also, the Buddhist Cultural Museum officially opened its door to the public. An exhibition about Non Nuoc stone sculptures, and a photo exhibition featuring ‘ma nhai’ (inscriptions) and the beauty of the Marble Mountains are being organised.
In the afternoon of the same day, there are ‘bai choi’ (singing while acting as playing cards) performances, an incense offering ceremony in commemoration of Princess Huyen Tran, a ceremony to pray for national peace, an art kite-flying performances, a hot air balloon festival, a folk music programme, and the opening of the Su Van Hanh Library.
The opening ceremony of the Quan The Am Festival will officially take place tonight. Additionally, visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to enjoy Japanese art performances, calligraphy writing, an exciting arts show, a campfire, and the floating of flower garlands and coloured lanterns on the river.
This year’s Quan The Am Festival takes place from March 8 - 10 (the 17th to 19th days of the second lunar month) in the campus of the Quan The Am Pagoda, and along Su Van Hanh and Le Van Hien roads.
