Members of national sailing team train in Da Nang waters
Every day at noon, about 20 members of Viet Nam's national sailing team train hard at the Nguyen Tat Thanh Beach in Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District with the desire to realise their goal of finishing in high rankings at the 32nd SEA Games slated to be held next May in Cambodia.

Initially, the team trained at the Man Thai Beach in Son Tra District, but due to unsuitable natural conditions of rough seas and big waves, the team decided to practice at the Nguyen Tat Thanh Beach.
According to experts and coaches of the sailing team, the Nguyen Tat Thanh beach boasts many weather factors suitable for training.
Sailing is currently a fairly new sport in Viet Nam as well as the upcoming SEA Games. As the first year of participating in the international arena, all members of the national sailing team train hard and seriously with the goal of bringing medals to the country.
Coach of the national sailing team Dang Quyet Thang said experts and coaching staff are very enthusiastic and determined in teaching athletes good skills to prepare for the upcoming tournament. “We will do our best to realise our goal of achieving one silver and one bronze medals”, he added.
Sailing is one of the sports at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia. This is good news for Viet Nam’s sailing team because this is a big playground with many expectations.
Every day, national athletes are still trying their best to practice in Da Nang waters, which focuses mainly on improving physical strength and perfecting techniques with the goal of getting high results at the forthcoming regional sports event.

Athletes practice 2 sessions/day. In the morning, they jog for physical training for a distance of 5km - 10km, then take a rest until noon. In the afternoon, they practice techniques. |
