Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2023 attracts over 3,100 runners
More than 3,100 runners took part in the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2023 at the semicircle of Bach Dang Street in Da Nang on Sunday morning.

Hosted by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the sporting event aimed to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29), and the 77th anniversary of the Viet Nam Sports Day (March 27).
Among the participants, over 2,500 runners from the Youth Union, the Department of Education and Training, the Labour Confederation, the Students’ Union, militia and self-defense force, the University of Da Nang, and 7 districts citywide, joined in the 1km companion run.
Meanwhile, the 1km army run saw the participation of 600 runners from the Da Nang Military High Command, the Border Guard Command, the Navy Region 3, the Air Force Division 372, the Air Defence Division 375, the Department of Police, and the Da Nang University of Physical Education - Sports.
The 1km run race was the main stage - Bach Dang - Binh Minh 4 - Tran Van Tru - Binh Minh 7 - the main stage.
In the end, the first prize of the 1km army run was given to the Da Nang Military HIgh Command, whilst the second and third prizes went to the Air Defence Division 375 and the Air Force Division 372 respectively.
At the district level, depending on the conditions of each locality, the organisation of the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2023 may be considered before April 15 at public places that are convenient for mass gatherings.
