Vietnamese film screening celebrates 70th anniversary of Vietnamese revolutionary cinematography

A Vietnamese film week is taking place in Da Nang from March 13 - 19 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese revolutionary cinematography.

The event was co-organised by the Da Nang Centre for Culture - Cinema and the municipal Cinema Association.

Under the ongoing film week, seven Vietnamese movies are being screened at 7:30pm free-of-charge at the Le Do Cinema: ‘Bao Gio Cho Den Thang 10’ (When the tenth month comes), ‘Canh Dong Hoang’ (Wild Field), ‘Tu Thu Truoc Binh Minh’ (Confession Before Dawn), ‘Co Gai Tren Song’ (The Girl on the River),’Moi Tinh Dau’ (First Love), ‘Mua Nuoc Noi’ (The Season of Floating Water), and ‘Ve Noi Gio Cat’ (Come Back to a Windy and Sandy Place).

Moreover, the municipal Cinema Association is hosting an exhibition featuring public a number of film images and cinematographic documents in front of the Le Do Cinema.

The exhibition aims to introduce cinematographic materials to generations of audiences in order to arouse historical traditions and promote patriotism and national pride, as well as recognise and affirm the values and achievements of Vietnamese cinematography during the past years, thereby contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of locals.
