The Heritage Magazine under the Vietnam Airlines Corporation has recently launched the ‘Heritage Journey’ photography contest 2023.

Initiated by the Viet Nam Heritage Magazine in 2013, the annual contest has contributed to promoting the beauty of the land and people of Viet Nam to the world, especially its internationally-recognised heritages.

This year's contest is available from April 1 - July 31 for professional and amateur photographers living in Viet Nam and abroad.

Contestants can submit their entries in three categories, including photo series, cover photo and single photo to email heritagevna@gmail.com.

In particular, in the category of photo series, entrants are required to submit 8-14 photos about such topics as the land and people of Viet Nam (craft villages, landscapes, heritages and festivals); landscape, lifestyle, culture, heritages, architectures of one of the countries in the flight network of Viet Nam Airlines and SkyTeam Alliance); and traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Viet Nam.

Meanwhile, each photographer can register for the cover photo category with a single photo about typical landscapes, culture, heritages, and architectures in Viet Nam, New Year's Eve, Lunar New Year, intangible and tangible heritages, sea, islands, and Vietnamese ethnic groups.

In the single photo category, each entrant is required to submit a single photo with the topic of contents related to Vietnam Airlines' activities.

The photos must not be previously published on the media or have part in any other photo competition. They must be captured within the last two years.

The contest’s organisers will present a total of 16 awards worth over VND250 million for all three categories, and 26 award tickets which can be used in the international and domestic air network of Vietnam Airlines.

The award ceremony is slated for the end of September this year, featuring an exhibition of winning photos.
