Following recent approval by the Da Nang government, some activities at the Rong (Dragon) and Han River bridges will be temporarily suspended during upcoming fireworks performance nights in a bid to ensure safety of visitors and limit traffic jams at bridges and in the city centre.

Specifically, the dragon’s head at the eastern end of the Rong Bridge will stop breathing fire and squirting water in nights of June 2, 10, 17 and 24, and July 8. Meanwhile, the Han River Bridge will stop swinging in nights of June 10, 17 and 24, and July 8.

It is known that the fire-breathing and water-spraying shows at the eastern end of the Rong Bridge often take place at 9:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Han River Bridge swings between 11:00pm and midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Over recent years, the weekend shows of fire breathing and water squirting at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and the opening of the Han River Swing Bridge, have been very attractive to both domestic and international tourists.
