The National 5x5 U16 Youth Basketball Championship 2023 will take place at Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena from June 8 - 18.

Co-organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the Viet Nam Basketball Federation, the sports event will see the participation of 4 female teams: Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and District 5 Yourlife in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, there will be 17 male teams: District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi Pitbulls, Eballs Ho Chi Minh City, ItalySport Nghe An, Thang Long Warriors xASA, Asport Ha Tinh, HNBA Ha Noi, SXKT Hau Giang, Ha Noi, Ha Noi youth, Ngoi Sao Vinh Phuc, Thua Thien - Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, PKKQ, BDC Da Nang, Danaball Da Nang and Jumpshots Da Nang.

In the men's category, the organisers will organize a draw for qualifying rounds, whilst female basketball teams will compete in a round-robin format.

The sports event is part of the national sports competition system, aiming to evaluate the development of basketball movements nationwide, as well as seek new talents for the national basketball youth team.
