Located in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, the Cam Ne Village is not only famous for the traditional mat weaving but also a communal house symbolising the history of the over 600-year-old land . On June 26, the Cam Ne village communal house was recognised as a municipal-level historical relic.

The Cam Ne village communal house is located on a nearly 1,600m2 land in the center of Cam Ne Village, facing south with architectural units such as communal gate, stele houses on both sides and temple.

It is both a center of beliefs, culture and education, as well as a symbol reflecting the beautiful traditional nuances and values of Cam Ne Village.

Mr. Ngo Van Mua, born in 1944, Head of Cam Ne Village, said that it can be estimated that the communal house was built about 600 years ago after the village was founded during the early Le dynasty to the Mac dynasty.

The Cam Ne village communal house is one of the five in Hoa Tien Commune and the second one to be ranked as a municipal-level relic.

Cam Ne land carries with it many historical and cultural values, has a long history of village establishment, and is famous traditional mat weaving. Therefore, the Cam Ne village communal house will contribute to creating attraction for tourists when visiting and learning about Cam Ne Village.
