The Da Nang government has issued a project called ‘The development of the Da Nang literature and arts until 2030’ with the view of linking the development of literary and artistic careers with the orientation of building a civilized and friendly Da Nang people as the foundation to build a peaceful, livable city and form Da Nang's own identity.

Accordingly, the city sets out the goal of developing the fields of literature and arts in a comprehensive, strong and humane direction, including creating arts works; effectively organizing literary and artistic activities and events, and working on the theory and criticism of literary and artistic works and developing human resources.

The intention is to bring the city's literature and art to a new level, serve political tasks and meet the people's demand for cultural and spiritual enjoyment, invest in creative spaces, arts works, literary and artistic works of high quality, contributing to aesthetic orientations, building personality and human morality, suitable to the city’s history, culture, traditions and development.

The scheme identifies increased investment to develop comprehensive and professional literary and artistic activities in the city in the following fields: composing, researching, criticizing, promoting and popularising literary and artistic works. in order to improve the people's aesthetic taste and quality of cultural and spiritual life, worthy of being the literary and artistic center of the region and the whole country.

Along with that, special heed will be paid comprehensively developing the Da Nang Union of Literature and Art Associations as the core to develop specialised associations, the city's literature and arts in the new period, meeting the city’s requirements. The need and role contributes to building a social spiritual foundation and developing culture serving as the foundation for building a peaceful and livable city.

At the same time, measures will be taken to increase creative activities and create literary and artistic works of high value, works written about the land and people of Da Nang, forming a unique identity value for literature and arts; contribute to building the cultural brand of Da Nang, meeting the requirements of international integration in the field of literature and arts.
