The art programme featured 8 singing and dancing performances, all praising the great merits, sacrifices and dedication of heroic Vietnamese mothers, martyrs, wounded soldiers and people with meritorious services in the struggle for national independence.

At the same time, the performances reviewed the nation's heroic revolutionary tradition, aroused patriotism and raised public awareness and responsibility about implementing preferential policies of the Party and State for people with meritorious services.

On the occasion, the Da Nang Center of Culture and Cinema in cooperation with the Da Nang Port, the Youth Union organisation of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Gia Phu Son Group Company and the Phi Lu Restaurant presented 107 gifts, totalling VND30 million, to the elderly who are being cared for at the Centre for Caring People with Meritorious Services to National Revolution.
