The Da Nang Open Tennis Tournament 2023 for Teenagers and Children officially opened at the Phan Chau Trinh Gymnasium on Saturday.

Hosted by the Da Nang Table Tennis Federation, the tournament saw the participation of more than 220 athletes from 15 table tennis clubs in the city and the provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

Table tennis players competed in four events of men's team, women's team, and men's and women's singles in five age groups of 7 - 9 years old, 10 - 11, 12 - 13, 14 - 15, and 16 - 18.

In the end, the tournament’s organisers awarded prizes to outstanding table tennis players in each competition, and clubs that won the first, second and third prizes for group.

The tournament offered an opportunity for athletes to exchange and strengthen solidarity, as well as improve the spirit of training and playing table tennis among teenagers and children in the city in particular and the whole country in general.
