One of the highlights of this year’s holiday is the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival, with the focus on the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang taking place from August 24 - September 2.
This year's festival features many side activities for locals and visitors to experience and explore golf at the city’s APEC Sculpture Park, including playing golf at the mini-course, posing for photos with the giant golf ball, and visiting booths displaying golf-related products.
In addition, a number of cultural and artistic programmes will be held across the city to serve the needs of locals and visitors, such as street music programme south of the east bank of Dragon Bridge, and performances of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.
On the occasion of the holiday, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park has officially put into operation a number of new items such as the river of love, and kayaking and boat ride services.
Mrs. Le Thi Bich Huong, the Marketing and Communications Director of the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, said that these services are being included in the free experience in order to create a novelty for tourists' sightseeing, entertainment and relaxation trips.
Besides, on September 2 and 3, a contest entitled ‘Kayak racing - exploring the river of love’ will be organised at the park.
Similarly, the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area is offering many entertainment activities for visitors such as a surreal 3D mapping light show at the Sun Castle.
After the test show, the resort has invested in upgrading the performance to a completely new version that brings more visual and emotional experience to visitors.
Aside from the light show, visitors to the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area can explore and experience the culture at the 100-year-old Debay wine cellar, and enjoy delicious glasses of wine imbued with French style.
Notably, there are performances of lion and dragon dances, and water puppetry at the Asia Park. Meanwhile, at the Tom Sara Village in Hoa Phu Commune, there are food stalls, aucoustic music shows, and cultural exchange activities with the Co Tu people.
According to the evaluation of travel agencies, the number of guests booking services is not high, but that of guests finding out information about the destinations and hotel rooms is quite a lot.
Currently, the number of domestic tourists is not as large as in the summer peak because people are preparing for the new school year. International visitors are not in season, mainly guests on the spot and nearby localities choose to go out and relax. Therefore, tourism service providers are always ready to serve customers.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Xoang, Director of the Hai Van Cat Travel Company cum Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Travel Association, said that one of the bright spots of tourism this year is that besides existing products, Da Nang has more community tourism products which not only attract customers from other localities but are also very interested by local people.
Along with the thoughtful preparation of tourism businesses as well as the inherent attraction of Da Nang and the ongoing 2023 Golf Tourism Festival, the city is expected to welcome an increasing number of visitors during this year's holiday.
Mr. Nguyen Binh Minh, Director of the VGS Southern - the organiser of the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang, said that Da Nang has many advantages in terms of sea tourism and infrastructure, especially golf tourism.
He expressed his hope that the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival will help attract a lot of golf guests to the city to play and relax.
According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh, along with golf-related activities and major tournaments, the local tourism industry organises a golf tour famtrip for 19 travellers including Chairman of the World Golf Tourism Organisation, the President of the Indian Golf Association, and representatives of major golf tour operators from Japan, Australia, India, the Philippines and Taiwan (China) in order to advertise the city’s golf tourism and lure more golf visitors to the city in the coming time.
