The Da Nang chapter of the Viet Nam Musicians’ Association in collaboration with the municipal Music Association held a ceremony on Monday to celebrate the Viet Nam Music Day (September 3, 1960 - September 3, 2023) and launch a songwriting contest about the city.

The songwriting contest, running until late September, attracts nearly 50 members majoring in composition, theory, performance and training

The annual activity aimed to recognise the association members' efforts and create conditions for them to exchange creative experience.

Also at the ceremony, the Da Nang Music Association admitted 8 new members, gave gifts to senior members, and donated 20 gifts, including confectionery and VND300,000 in cash, to children in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District.

In addition, the organisers launched a songwriting contest about Da Nang with all genres such as songs and musical instruments.

The contest, running until late September, attracts nearly 50 members majoring in composition, theory, performance and training. It is expected that, in early October, the organising committee will judge and award some excellent works.
