More than 40 cultural and sports activities will be organised across Da Nang to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the 1945 August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Specifically, the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts will open a contemporary art exhibition themed ‘Young Fine Arts - Da Nang’ on August 25.

The Culture and Movie Centre-hosted news-art photo exhibition will take place at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge opposite the Museum of Cham Sculpture from August 30 - September 5.

Notably, the Da Nang traditional boat race will resume on September 2 on the Han River after many years of hiatus.

On the evening of September 2, the Trung Vuong Theatre and the Hai Chau District Cultural and Sports Centre will hold a special arts program at the APEC Sculpture Garden to celebrate the National Day.

Aside from main activities, a wide range of activities will take place continuously from late August to late September, including ‘bai choi’ performances, street music, and street carnival.

There will be an exchange of music bands on the evening of September 9, a dragon lion competition at the APEC Sculpture Garden on September 16 and 17, and the Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2023 at the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge during the National Day holiday.
