Vu Lan Festival 2023 being held in Marble Mountains Tourist Area

The Vu Lan Festival 2023, which is known as Buddhist Mother’s Day in Viet Nam, is taking place at the Am Phu (Hell) Cave at Da Nang’s Marble Mountains Tourist Area on August 25 and 26.

Organised by Executive Board of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha in Ngu Hanh Son District, the event features a number of special activities, the teaching of gratitude to parents, the tea ceremony space, putting on filial roses for tourists, calligraphy writing, a photo exhibition featuring the beauty of Marble Moutnains, vegetarian food culture, solemn ritual to pray for the peace of martyrs’ souls at the Cave, and lighting flower garlands to pray for peace and safety throughout the year.

On the occasion, the Board of Directors of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha in Ngu Hanh Son District held a ceremony to congratulate 20 local senior citizens on their longevity, and present scholarships to 20 poor studious pupils.
