Australian golfer wins BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2023

After three days of competition, the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2023 officially wrapped up in the city on Saturday afternoon.

In his speech delivered at the closing and awards ceremony, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee cum Head of the Organising Board of the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2023, expressed his delight at the success of the 2023 BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang as it attracted the participation of many international athletes.

He also highly lauded relevant units for their great efforts in ensuring the success of the festival, with the focus on the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2023 under the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system.

Vice Chairman Cuong thanked the participation of international golfers for creating an attractive and impressive tournament.

“I really hope these feelings will be reappear in the next tournaments. Hopefully, the tournament will become more professional and attract more golfers in the years ahead" he emphasised.

After 3 days of fierce competition, golfer Aaron Wilkin from Australia claimed the championship with a win mark of -10. The prize for the champion was US$17,500 USD in cash out of a total prize fund of US$ 100,000 and a trophy made from Chu Dau ceramic in Hai Duong.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, athlete Aaron Wilkin expressed his joy and happiness to beat more than 140 athletes to win the championship trophy at the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2023.

Also at the ceremony, Nguyen Anh Minh received the best amateur golfer award, whilst the best Vietnamese professional golfer award of the tournament went to Nguyen Nhat Long.
