A symphony concert celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic ties took place at the Hilton Danang Hotel on Tuesday evening.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, the city branch of the Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association and the Hello Company, the programme featured 14 performances by artists from the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra founded in 1956.

On this tour, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra's Quintet has 8 members, specialising in classical music genre. In addition to violin, viola and cello, trombones were added to the instruments to make the concert more special.

The concert contributed to further promoting cultural exchange and strengthening the friendship between the two peoples of Da Nang and Japan, and the two countries as a whole.

Aside from the aforementioned concert, the Quintet of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra plans to perform and interact with pupils at the Tran Dai Nghia Junior High School based in Ngu Hanh Son District, and patients at the Da Nang Cancer Hospital in the morning and afternoon of September 6 respectively.
